As we know, shopping trolleys in supermarkets and in numerous outlets are used by many people, adults and children, and for this reason are inevitably subject to contamination, especially as regards the handle. Explaining this are a number of studies shown on the U.S. site http://healthfreedoms.org according to which it would seem that there are more germs on a shopping trolley than on a toilet bowl in a public toilet as confirmed by some recent health warnings, according to which the swabs taken from the handles of shopping trolleys and child seats would seem to indicate the presence of saliva, blood, feces, mucus and even worse types of Listeria, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and E. Coli bacteria. The reason shopping trolleys are one of the most contaminated surfaces, even more than public toilets, according to some researchers, is due to the fact that public toilets are cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis, while shopping carts are left dirty during their natural lifetime or are cleaned at most a couple of times each year. Meanwhile, as a result of contact with thousands and thousands of customers who are used to placing their children into the trolleys in their nappies, they are continually being contaminated, accumulating a surprising range of germs and viruses. Whatever the reasons, it is a fact that the shopping trolley, and in particular the handle or grip, is contaminated by microorganisms.

We were able to build and patent a handle structure, particularly for shopping trolleys and the like, which is able to eliminate, or to substantially limit bacterial contamination. A handle that can be applied to any type of trolley or other similar objects for public use. Its particular construction characteristics, through treatment with silver ions, give the greatest guarantees of reliability and safety of use. (Patent No. MI2013U000232 of 17.06.2013 CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DEPOT: Milan).

As we know, silver has an effective disinfecting action, preventing the proliferation of bacteria. Silver salts are able to inhibit the replication of any microorganisms that may be present. The aluminum handle is polished and branded with logos, inscriptions, decorations, etc. It then receives an oxidation treatment with silver ions, immersing it in an electrolyte. In this way the anodized layer is created and silver is deposited in a unique electrolytic process, ensuring effective and long-lasting resistance to exposure to atmospheric agents and bacterial proliferation.
